Sindhusyandanam brings together a carefully curated collection of research articles that explore the vast intellectual and cultural expanse of Sanskrit and Indic studies. Encompassing the Vedas and ancillary Vedic literature, the traditions of the Rāmāyaṇa, Mahābhārata, Bhagavadgītā, Purāṇas, Smṛtis, Darśanas, Kāvyaśāstra, and Classical Sanskrit literature, the volume engages deeply with texts while remaining attentive to their historical and cultural contexts. Essays on native and folk traditions further illuminate the living continuities between śāstra and practice, underscoring the enduring vitality of Indic knowledge systems.

Authored by scholars from diverse disciplines within Indic studies, the contributions combine rigorous philological scholarship with thoughtful interpretive insight. Together, they offer fresh and nuanced perspectives for both researchers and discerning general readers seeking a deeper understanding of ancient Indian intellectual traditions across time, region, genre, and methodological approach.

Beyond its academic scope, Sindhusyandanam stands as a humble and heartfelt offering, imbued with gratitude, reverence, and affection, from the students and grand-students of Prof. Sindhu Sadashiv Dange, as she completes her 89th year and gently and gracefully approaches her 90th birthday.
